Black Russian

Black Russian

Black Russian

  • Black Russian
  • 1 ounce Vodka
  • 1 ounce Coffee Liqueur
  • Over ice in a rocks serving glass
  • No garnish
The Black Russian is a classic cocktail, made with 'Russian' Vodka and Coffee Liqueur. Usually poured with less coffee liqueur than I did here... but it's my video, and therefore, my recipe, and I think it tastes better with a larger portion of the 'Black' or coffee liqueur. Very simple, and very tasty... If you haven't ordered one lately, you should! It's a delight! Cheers!

Screwdriver

Screwdriver

Screwdriver

  • Screwdriver Cocktail
  • 1.5 ounces vodka
  • Orange Juice (fresh-squeezed is best)
  • Serve over ice in a highball glass. Garnish with orange wedge
OK... so this one is pretty simple... but I still have to document it with my videos. Vodka and orange juice, with an orange garnish. Puportedly.... the strory goes that some mechanic, somewhere... used to enjoy these after work and he just happened to stir his cocktail with a screwdriver. That's the story... This is a great cocktail anytime. Cheers!

Salty Dog

Salty Dog

Salty Dog

  • Salty Dog
  • 1 ½ ounce Vodka
  • 2 ounces Fresh Grapefruit Juice
  • Serve in a ‘Salt Rimmed’ Bucket Glass Full of Ice
The Salty Dog is a great cocktail. Vodka & grapefruit juice in a salt rimmed glass. The ‘dog’ in the name refers to the fact that this drink is actually a ‘Greyhound’ cocktail but with a salted rim on the glass. It’s simple, tart, puckering and refreshing, and the salt really enhances the flavor of the grapefruit juice. Be sure to use fresh squeezed grapefruit juice for maximum enjoyment! Cheers!

Raspberry Lemon Drop

Raspberry Lemon Drop

Raspberry Lemon Drop

  • Raspberry Lemon Drop
  • 1 ½ ounce Citrus Vodka
  • ¾ ounce Triple Sec
  • 2 ounces Fresh Lemonade
  • 1 ounce Fresh Raspberry Puree
The Lemon Drop Martini is a very popular and delicious cocktail. It’s tart, slightly sweet and fresh as the day is long with the raspberry puree in there. Anyone can make this simple and refreshing drink. Most popular in the summertime months… it’s not just for breakfast anymore! Cheers!

Pomegranate Martini

Pomegranate Martini

Pomegranate Martini

  • Pomegranate Martini
  • 1 ½ ounce Vodka
  • ¾ ounce Triple Sec
  • ¾ ounce Simple Syrup
  • 1 ounce ‘POM’ Pomegranate Juice
  • Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Shake Vigorously, Strain and Serve
The Pomegranate Martini is a relatively new cocktail. Gaining popularity with the onset of the health craze embracing the nation right now. The anti-oxidant power of the pomegranate hit the newsstands, and the pomegranate juice hit the market place. This tasty drink is very popular and varies in its preparation depending on where you go. A little citrus in this cocktail is OK, but I personally think it inhibits the flavor of the pomegranate. Should be ruby red and served with whatever garnish you like. Cheers!

Lemon Drop

Lemon Drop Martini

  • Lemon Drop   Sweet & Tart
  • 1 ½ oz vodka
  • ¾ oz Triple Sec
  • 2 oz fresh lemonade*
  • OR*
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz water
  • Shake all ingredients in a mixing glass full of ice
  • Serve in a sugar rimmed cocktail glass with a lemon wedge garnish
The drink is a lemon flavored delight that is decidedly strong with a hint of sweet and a zing of fresh lemon. This drink is usually favored by the ladies. Be careful. For a twist on the original recipe...perhaps try a 'colored sugar' rim on your martini glass. Oprah likes these, she said so... and she garnishes hers with mint leaves. So... if that's how Oprah does... then that is how you should do it! Cheers!

  • I've always liked this cocktail. Simple and tasty!  Served as a shot, on the rocks or in a martini glass. In my youth I may have been called the ‘Kamikaze Kid’ once or twice, for a short while there… The drink's name is Japanese in origin, referring to the Kamikaze pilots of WW II. The name comes from the ingredients, Vodka, Triple Sec, Lime Juice. VTL, 'Very Tragic Landing'.
